Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the sale of tickets for the international seminar “Noguchi Taikai Finland 2027” (the “Event”) organized by Shinden Dojo Ry (“Organizer”) through the website https://noguchifinland.com/ (the “Website”). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these Terms.

2. Ticket Purchase and Payment

  • Tickets can be purchased exclusively through the Website.
  • All payments must be made in the currency specified on the Website.
  • Payment methods available are those displayed at checkout, which may include credit/debit cards and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed securely via Stripe.
  • Upon successful purchase, the buyer will receive an order confirmation via email. The ticket is only valid after receipt of payment, upon which a payment confirmation will be issued. Attendees must bring this payment confirmation to the event, as the ticket is only valid for the names specified in it.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in cases of suspected fraud, payment failure, ticketing system errors, violation of these Terms, or where reasonably necessary for event management.

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • All purchases for the seminar are binding in principle.
  • If the Event is canceled, ticket holders will be entitled to a full refund.
  • If the Event is rescheduled, ticket holders may use their existing tickets for the new date.
  • In case of a cancellation of attendance by Noguchi Sensei, the Organizer reserves the right to organize and execute the event, with substitute teacher(s) taking Noguchi Sensei’s place.
  • The Organizer is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by the ticket holder, such as travel and accommodation expenses.
  • Refund policy for additional purchases: Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection legislation, merchandise items and dinner bookings purchased in connection with the Event are non-refundable except when the related event registration is cancelled.
  • In accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation, the purchase of tickets for a leisure event taking place on a specific date or period is binding and not subject to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to distance sales.

4. Event Changes and Force Majeure

  • The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the Event schedule, teachers, speakers, or venue as necessary.
  • In the case of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, war, or other unforeseeable events), the Organizer may cancel or reschedule the Event without liability. In such cases, the Organizer’s liability shall be limited to the refund arrangements explicitly stated in these Terms.

5. Attendee Responsibilities

  • Attendees must comply with all local laws and venue regulations.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who is disruptive or violates the rules of the Event.
  • Ticket holders must provide valid identification upon request.

6. Merchandise and Additional Services

  • Merchandise and dinner bookings are offered as additional options to the seminar ticket.
  • Purchased merchandise items will not be shipped. They will be distributed at the event upon presentation of the payment confirmation. Merchandise shall be produced and shared (to the buyer) solely according to the order placed; no model, size, or other changes are possible after placing the order.
  • The dinner event is not included in the ticket price and must be booked separately.
  • Meals are provided by an external catering company. We can only communicate dietary requirements and allergies submitted during registration. Any changes after registration must be arranged directly with the catering provider.

7. Intellectual Property and Media Consent

  • All materials presented at the Event, including slides, recordings, and documents, are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without the Organizer’s written permission.
  • By attending the Event, attendees consent to being photographed, recorded, or filmed. The Organizer may use such media for promotional purposes without compensation.
  • Information regarding the processing of personal data, including photographs and recordings, is available in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

  • The Organizer is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other losses incurred during the Event.
  • Participants fully acknowledge the risks involved in physical activities at the seminar. The Organizer and guest instructors cannot be held liable for any injuries or damages that occur.
  • Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness to participate and agree to follow the instructions of the organizers and instructors.
  • The Organizer makes no guarantees regarding the content, speakers, or outcomes of the Event.
  • The Organizer assumes no responsibility for third-party services, such as accommodations and transportation. Attendees must book these independently and at their own risk.

9. Ticket Transfer Policy

  • Ticket transfers to another person are allowed if the original buyer notifies the Organizer in advance.

10. Privacy Policy

The Organizer will collect and process personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available here.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

The Organizer reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via the Website and email notifications to ticket holders.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation shall be submitted to the competent court in Finland.
